Lost Sparrow

Lost Sparrow documents filmmaker Chris Billing’s investigation into the tragic 1978 deaths of his adopted Crow Indian brothers, Bobby and Tyler. The film was broadcast nationally in November, 2010 on the Emmy award-winning PBS series Independent Lens.

Up to the Mountain,
Down to the Village

It was perhaps the largest youth movement in human history. In 1968, China’s Communist leader Mao Zedong sent more than 17 million students “up to the mountain and down to the village” to learn from the peasants. This film explores the revolutionary forces of China’s past that still shape that nation today.
